                                    Day 1
                                    Marrakech – Imi Oughlad – Tizi n’Tachte – Tiziane
                                    
                                After breakfast, your private driver will collect you from your hotel or riad in Marrakech for the journey toward the High Atlas Mountains.  Travel through the countryside via Tahanaout and Asni before reaching the trailhead near Imi Oughlad. Here, you will meet your local mountain guide and muleteer team, review the trekking plan and organize the luggage.  Begin the walk along mountain paths through cultivated fields and areas of pine and juniper. The trail gradually climbs toward Tizi n’Tachte, a mountain pass offering views across the Imlil and Ait Oussaden valleys.  After a picnic lunch at a suitable location, continue along the trail toward the village of Tiziane. The final section descends through terraced landscapes into the Assif n’Ait Oussaden Valley.  Arrive at the village in the afternoon and settle into a simple mountain guesthouse or gîte. Dinner will be served at the accommodation.  The expected walking time is approximately four to five hours, depending on the group’s pace and trail conditions.  Overnight in a mountain guesthouse in Tiziane.

                                    Day 2
                                    Tiziane – Tizi n’Taghrhourte – Assaka Spring – D’knt
                                    
                                After breakfast, continue deeper into the Ait Oussaden Valley with your mountain guide.  The trail passes through agricultural terraces, walnut groves and traditional mountain settlements before gradually ascending toward Tizi n’Taghrhourte.  There will be regular stops for water, rest and photographs. Continue toward Assaka Spring, where a picnic lunch may be served in a suitable shaded area.  In the afternoon, follow paths along the edge of the forest before descending toward D’knt or a nearby village selected according to the confirmed accommodation and trail conditions.  This stage provides an opportunity to observe everyday agricultural life, traditional irrigation systems and the architecture of High Atlas villages. Close photographs of residents or private homes should be taken only after permission has been granted.  The expected walking time is approximately four to five hours.  After arriving at the guesthouse, enjoy time to rest before dinner.  Overnight in a mountain guesthouse in D’knt or a nearby village.

                                    Day 3
                                    D’knt – Tizi n’Tagdalte – Tizi Oussem – Tamsoult
                                    
                                After breakfast, begin another guided trekking stage through the western High Atlas.  Walk through cultivated areas where crops and vegetation vary according to the season. The trail then climbs toward Tizi n’Tagdalte before continuing through sections of juniper woodland.  Stop for a picnic lunch near a spring or another suitable location selected by the guide.  In the afternoon, descend along mountain paths toward the Azzaden Valley. Continue through or near Tizi Oussem, a traditional village surrounded by terraced fields and mountain scenery.  The final section leads toward Tamsoult, where you will settle into a mountain refuge, gîte or seasonal camp.  The expected walking time is approximately four to five hours, although the precise distance will depend on the selected route and overnight accommodation.  Dinner will be served at the accommodation.  Overnight in Tamsoult.

                                    Day 4
                                    Tamsoult – Ighouliden Waterfall – Tizi M’zik – Imlil – Marrakech
                                    
                                After an early breakfast, begin the final and most demanding trekking stage.  Walk from Tamsoult toward the Ighouliden Waterfall area. Water flow varies according to rainfall, snowmelt and season, so the appearance of the waterfall cannot be guaranteed.  Continue uphill toward Tizi M’zik. The ascent requires steady walking on mountain paths, and the guide will adjust the pace according to the group’s fitness and weather conditions.  From the pass, enjoy broad views across the surrounding valleys and High Atlas peaks before beginning the descent toward Imlil.  A picnic lunch or cooked meal will be served at a suitable point along the route. Continue down through mountain villages and terraced landscapes until reaching Imlil.  The expected walking time is approximately five to six hours. Snow, rain, heat or trail damage may require the guide to select an alternative route.  Meet your private driver in Imlil and return to Marrakech. After checking into your riad or hotel, enjoy a free evening and rest after the trekking section.  This itinerary does not include an ascent of Mount Toubkal.  Overnight in Marrakech.

                                    Day 5
                                    Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
                                    
                                After breakfast, leave Marrakech in a private air-conditioned vehicle and travel across the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka route.  The road passes mountain communities, cultivated valleys and panoramic viewpoints. Stops can be made for photographs, refreshments and short breaks.  Continue toward Ouarzazate, a regional center known for its earthen architecture and film industry. Depending on your interests and available time, you may visit Taourirt Kasbah or one of the nearby film studios.  After lunch, travel through the Skoura oasis and the Valley of Roses toward Boumalne Dades. Rose cultivation is seasonal, but cooperatives and shops selling regional products operate throughout much of the year.  Continue into the Dades Valley, where traditional villages, cultivated fields and eroded rock formations line the route.  After checking into your accommodation, you may take a short walk near the valley or relax at the hotel.  This is a long driving day, and the number of visits will be adjusted according to your departure time and preferred pace.  Overnight in the Dades Valley.

                                    Day 6
                                    Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert Camp
                                    
                                After breakfast, leave the Dades Valley and continue toward Tinghir.  Follow the palm-filled oasis to Todra Gorge, where high limestone walls rise above a narrow river corridor. Enjoy time for a walk through the gorge before continuing toward the desert.  After lunch, travel through oasis towns and arid landscapes toward Erfoud, an area associated with date production and fossil-rich stone. A fossil workshop may be visited when it matches your interests and sufficient time is available.  Continue through Rissani toward Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi dunes.  At the edge of the desert, meet your camel guide and begin a camel ride across the dunes. Travelers who prefer not to ride can reach the camp by 4×4.  Stop at a suitable location to watch the changing afternoon light and sunset before continuing to the camp.  Enjoy dinner followed by traditional music and time beneath the desert sky. Weather, wind and cloud cover may affect sunset and stargazing conditions.  Overnight in a Sahara Desert camp.

                                    Day 7
                                    Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – N’Kob – Agdez – Ait Ben Haddou
                                    
                                Wake early for an optional sunrise experience over the dunes, subject to weather conditions.  After breakfast at the camp, return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4 and meet your driver.  Begin the long journey west through southern Morocco. Travel through Rissani and continue toward Alnif, passing rocky desert plains and isolated communities.  After lunch, continue through the regions around Tazarine and N’Kob toward the Draa Valley. The route offers views of palm groves, fortified villages and arid mountain landscapes.  Pass through Agdez and continue toward Ouarzazate before reaching Ait Ben Haddou in the evening.  Because this is one of the tour’s longest road transfers, stops will be carefully selected and a full guided visit to Ait Ben Haddou should normally be reserved for the following morning.  Check into your accommodation near the fortified village and enjoy dinner and rest.  Overnight near Ait Ben Haddou.

                                    Day 8
                                    Ait Ben Haddou – Ounila Valley – Telouet – Marrakech
                                    
                                After breakfast, meet a local guide for a walking visit to Ait Ben Haddou.  Explore the fortified village’s earthen passageways, towers and traditional buildings while learning about its history and construction. The paths include uneven surfaces, slopes and steps, so suitable footwear is recommended.  After the visit, travel through the Ounila Valley. The road passes mountain scenery, small settlements and traditional architecture before reaching Telouet.  Depending on opening conditions, visit Telouet Kasbah and learn about its historical role along former caravan routes. Some parts of the building may be fragile or inaccessible, and visitors must follow local safety instructions.  After lunch, continue across the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka route.  Arrive in Marrakech during the late afternoon or evening. Your driver will transfer you to your hotel, riad or Marrakech Menara Airport according to the confirmed arrangements.  Travelers departing by air on Day 8 should select a sufficiently late flight or add an additional night in Marrakech.
