                                    Day 1
                                    Arrival in Casablanca
                                    
                                Welcome to Morocco. Upon arrival at Mohammed V International Airport, your private driver will meet you, assist with your luggage and photography equipment, and transfer you to your hotel in Casablanca.  The first day will remain relaxed, allowing you to recover from your flight and prepare your equipment for the journey ahead. Depending on your arrival time and the official visiting schedule, you may photograph the Hassan II Mosque from the surrounding waterfront or join an interior visit.  The mosque’s oceanfront setting offers opportunities to work with architectural details, reflections, geometric lines and changing Atlantic light. Tripods and professional equipment may be subject to local restrictions, so all photography must follow the site’s rules.  In the evening, meet your driver or tour coordinator to review the route, expected sunrise times, luggage arrangements and any special photography interests.  Overnight in Casablanca.

                                    Day 2
                                    Casablanca – Marrakech
                                    
                                After breakfast, begin with a short photography tour of Casablanca before traveling to Marrakech.  Depending on available time, photograph the Art Deco-influenced streets of central Casablanca, the Habous Quarter, Mohammed V Square or selected coastal views. Street photography should remain discreet and respectful, particularly in residential neighborhoods and working markets.  Leave Casablanca and travel south to Marrakech using the main motorway route. There will be time for a rest and lunch during the journey.  Arrive in Marrakech during the afternoon and check into your riad or hotel. Later, meet your licensed local guide for an introductory walk through the medina.  As daylight softens, photograph traditional doorways, narrow lanes, market displays and the exterior of the Koutoubia Mosque. Continue toward Jemaa el-Fna, where the square changes considerably between late afternoon and evening.  Photographing performers, musicians and vendors may require permission or a small agreed payment. Your guide can help you approach people appropriately.  Overnight in Marrakech.

                                    Day 3
                                    Marrakech Photography and Cultural Tour
                                    
                                Begin early to photograph Marrakech before its busiest streets become crowded.  Meet your licensed local guide and walk through selected sections of the medina, where morning light may create strong contrasts between shaded lanes and sunlit courtyards. Subjects can include bread ovens, produce markets, spice displays, architectural details and artisans beginning their work.  The sightseeing program may include Bahia Palace, Ben Youssef Madrasa, the Saadian Tombs or Dar El Bacha Museum, depending on opening hours, ticket availability and photography restrictions.  After lunch, visit Majorelle Garden when tickets have been reserved in advance, or select another garden, museum or architectural location. Commercial photography equipment and tripods may be restricted inside certain attractions.  Return to the medina in the late afternoon for additional street and market photography. You may finish at a rooftop overlooking Jemaa el-Fna, where the changing evening activity offers opportunities for wide city scenes, silhouettes and low-light photography.                                     Day 4
                                    Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains
                                    
                                After breakfast, leave Marrakech and travel toward the High Atlas Mountains.  The exact destination may be Imlil, Ouirgane or another suitable mountain valley selected according to accommodation, weather, road access and your photography priorities.  The journey passes agricultural landscapes, roadside communities and mountain scenery. Flexible stops can be made for wide landscapes, cultivated terraces, traditional architecture and changing views toward the higher peaks.  After checking into your mountain lodge or guesthouse, meet a local guide for an introductory walk. The route will be adapted to your fitness level, available daylight and the amount of photography equipment you are carrying.  Possible subjects include stone and earth-built houses, walnut trees, terraced fields, mountain paths and village scenes. Close photographs of residents and private homes should be taken only after permission has been granted.  Return to the accommodation before dark and enjoy the evening at leisure. Clear conditions may allow opportunities for twilight or night-sky photography away from Marrakech’s urban lights.  Overnight in the High Atlas Mountains.

                                    Day 5
                                    High Atlas Mountains Photography
                                    
                                Rise early for a morning photography session in the surrounding valley.  Early light may reveal layers of mountain ridges, cultivated terraces, village rooftops and shadows moving across the landscape. The precise location will be selected according to weather, visibility and seasonal conditions.  After breakfast, join a local mountain guide for a half-day walk through nearby villages and agricultural areas. The walking distance and elevation will be adjusted to your ability and equipment load.  The day may include opportunities to photograph traditional architecture, irrigation channels, local farming, bread preparation, weekly markets or everyday village activity. Access to homes, workshops or family settings must be arranged in advance rather than assumed.  After lunch, enjoy free time at the lodge or continue with a shorter afternoon session. Golden-hour photography may be planned from a viewpoint near the accommodation when conditions are suitable.  Travelers carrying tripods, multiple lenses or heavy camera bags should discuss porter or mule support in advance. Any animal-assisted transport should be arranged with consideration for animal welfare and weight limits.  Overnight in the High Atlas Mountains.

                                    Day 6
                                    High Atlas Mountains – Telouet – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
                                    
                                After breakfast, leave the mountain region and travel across the High Atlas toward southern Morocco.  The route may include the Tizi n’Tichka road and a visit to Telouet Kasbah when the access road, weather and site conditions are suitable. The kasbah offers opportunities to photograph weathered exterior walls, interior decoration and the surrounding mountain setting.  Continue through the Ounila Valley, stopping at selected viewpoints for landscapes, fortified villages and traditional earth-built architecture.  Arrive at Ait Ben Haddou during the afternoon. Explore the fortified village with a local guide, photographing narrow passageways, textured walls, towers and views across the river valley.  The visit can be timed for softer late-afternoon light where the driving schedule allows. Photographers should carry only the equipment needed for the walk because the paths include uneven surfaces, slopes and steps.  Continue to Ouarzazate after the visit and check into your accommodation.  Overnight in Ouarzazate.

                                    Day 7
                                    Ouarzazate – Skoura – Rose Valley – Dades Valley
                                    
                                After breakfast, begin with photography in or around Ouarzazate.  Depending on your interests, you may visit Taourirt Kasbah or a film studio. Photography policies, tripod access and commercial-use restrictions should be checked before entering.  Continue to the Skoura palm grove, where traditional kasbahs, palm trees, cultivated fields and irrigation landscapes create varied photographic subjects. A historic kasbah visit can be included when open.  Travel through Kalaat M’Gouna and the Valley of Roses. Rose fields are seasonal, but villages, cooperatives and valley landscapes can be photographed throughout much of the year.  Continue toward Boumalne Dades and enter the Dades Valley. Stops may include elevated viewpoints, eroded rock formations, traditional villages and the winding road above the gorge.  A late-afternoon photography session can be arranged near the accommodation, depending on arrival time and light conditions.  Overnight in the Dades Valley.

                                    Day 8
                                    Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga
                                    
                                An optional early-morning session can be arranged in the Dades Valley before breakfast.  Leave the valley and travel toward Tinghir, stopping for views over palm groves, traditional settlements and the surrounding arid mountains.  Continue into Todra Gorge, where high limestone walls create opportunities to work with scale, texture, reflected light and human figures within the landscape. The gorge can become busy, so the exact timing will be adjusted where possible.  After lunch, travel through desert towns and rocky landscapes toward Erfoud. A fossil workshop may be visited if it matches your photography interests and permission is granted.  Continue to Merzouga and transfer into the Erg Chebbi desert region. Depending on the confirmed arrangements, you will reach the camp by camel or 4×4.  Stop on the dunes for sunset photography before continuing to the camp. Sand protection is essential: keep lenses covered when not in use, avoid changing lenses in windy conditions and store equipment securely inside a closed bag.  Enjoy dinner and, when skies are clear, an opportunity for night photography.  Overnight in a Sahara Desert camp.

                                    Day 9
                                    Sahara Sunrise – Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Fes
                                    
                                Wake before sunrise and walk to a suitable dune viewpoint with only the equipment needed for the session.  Morning light can create changing shadows, patterns and textures across the dunes, although cloud, wind and visibility conditions cannot be guaranteed.  Return to the camp for breakfast, then travel back to Merzouga by camel or 4×4 and meet your driver.  Begin the long journey north through the Ziz Valley. Stop at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the palm groves, fortified villages and surrounding rock formations.  Continue across the mountain plateau toward Midelt, where there will be time for lunch. The journey then passes through the Middle Atlas region and forested landscapes before reaching Fes.  Because this is a long transfer day, photography stops will be selected carefully to maintain a practical arrival time.  Check into your riad in Fes and enjoy a free evening.  Overnight in Fes.

                                    Fes Medina Photography Tour
                                    
                                After breakfast, meet your licensed local guide for a full day of photography and cultural exploration in Fes.  Begin at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the old city before entering Fes el-Bali. The medina offers opportunities to photograph narrow lanes, architectural details, market activity, food preparation and traditional workshops.  Your route may include Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine Square and Fountain, the exterior of Al Quaraouiyine and a viewpoint over the traditional tanneries. Access and photography rules depend on opening conditions and the individual site.  Visit selected artisan areas where crafts such as leatherwork, metalwork, weaving, wood carving and tilework are practiced. Always request permission before photographing artisans closely, particularly when entering workshops.  Your guide can help identify quieter lanes and suitable viewpoints while avoiding disruption to residents and businesses.  The day may also include the Royal Palace gates, the Mellah or the pottery district. Return to the riad in the late afternoon or remain in the medina for evening street photography.  Overnight in Fes.

                                    Day 11
                                    Fes – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
                                    
                                After breakfast, travel from Fes to Volubilis for a photography-focused visit to the archaeological site.  Columns, arches, stone streets, former residences and surviving mosaic floors provide opportunities for architectural, detail and landscape photography. The site is exposed to direct sunlight, so an earlier departure may provide softer light and fewer visitors.  A lightweight tripod may be useful where permitted, but professional or commercial equipment can be subject to local rules. Avoid stepping onto protected remains or mosaic surfaces.  Continue to Meknes for lunch and a short exploration of the imperial city. Depending on restoration work and opening conditions, photography locations may include El Hedim Square, the Bab Mansour area, medina streets and sections of the historic walls.  Return to Fes during the afternoon. The remainder of the day may be used for independent photography, equipment organization or a final review of images from the journey.                                     Day 12
                                    Fes – Airport Departure
                                    
                                After breakfast, enjoy free time according to your departure schedule.  At the agreed time, your private driver will collect you, your luggage and your photography equipment for the transfer to Fes–Saïss Airport.  A transfer to Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca can also be arranged. Because the journey from Fes to Casablanca Airport requires several hours, a suitable pickup time must be planned around traffic and the airline’s check-in requirements.  An early flight from Casablanca may require changing the final overnight stay to Casablanca or adding an additional night.  Before leaving the hotel, check that batteries, power banks, tripods and other equipment are packed according to your airline’s cabin and checked-baggage rules.  Your 12-day Morocco Photography Tour concludes at the airport.  End of services.
